20 Closets to Clean!
Tackle any of these and it will make you feel better and your house show better.
- Linens. If they’re torn or shredding, time to trash.
- Shoes. Let them go if they are too small, too painful or just too “what was I thinking?â€
- Tupperware. They will never get organized if you keep throwing them in the cabinet.
- Games. As your children grow the games they play change. This is a great one to pass on to someone else.
- Sweaters. Assess the ones you wear versus the ones that your never do.
- CD’s and DVD’s. I had a friend give a donation of all her VHS tapes to a non-profit organization. It was a benefit all around!
- Jewelry. Classic never goes out of style. It’s the “today’s fashion†that you have to be honest about.
- Coats.  It’s worth going through it at least once a year.
- Handbags. Not your style anymore? Donate. Sell. Exchange. Give away…and the list goes on.
- Decorations. Some of us have a room full and some of us have a box full. Either way, know what you have so you can enjoy it when the holiday is here.
- Arts/Crafts. If the glue is petrified and the glitter doesn’t move in the bottle, time for some clean up.
- Tools.  How many times have you asked “Where is the screwdriver?â€. Here’s your opportunity to always know where it is.
- Pool Equipment. Strewn about your pool deck is the last place for these.
- Pantry. Many of us like to have a full pantry. But let’s not go overboard to the point where food is expiring because we can’t get that far back in the closet.
- Computer Software. Keep software for a computer bundled together.
- Makeup. It’s not only your mascara that needs to be changed out periodically.
- Toys. It doesn’t matter whose they are.
- Junk Drawer. We all have one.
- Mail/Paperwork. If it isn’t necessary, shred or trash.
- Your kid’s bedrooms. What a great opportunity to show your child how to keep up with their own things.
