After Two Weeks, Take It Down

If your home is on the market, the general rule of thumb for taking decorations down is two weeks from the holiday or event.

I showed a house once, it was almost Valentine’s Day and seller’s Christmas tree was still up.  My clients were a completely thrown by it. The buyers didn’t remember the family room, just the tree in it.

This week’s tip –

When your property is for sale, holiday and event decorations have a limited time and place.   (This includes the outdoor lights too!)
